Doosan Vina exports 2,600 tonnes of equipment to Japanese and Thai partners
VOV.VN - The Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam Company (Doosan Vina) completed two shipments on March 15 containing a total of 2,600 tonnes of equipment to both Japanese and Thai partners.
The shipment was delivered to the Japanese firm IHI Corporation in Van Phong 1 Thermal Power Plant located in the central province of Khanh Hoa province.
The equipment was part of a contract initially signed on April 28, 2020, under the VP1 Steel Structure project. The terms of the deal means that Doosan Vina will provide roughly 9,000 tonnes of steel structures to the elevator system of the Van Phong 1 Thermal Power Plant.
The following shipment is anticipated to begin in early April, with the project expected to be fully complete in May, 2022.
Huynh Van Ke, head of production department of MHS factory under Doosan Vina, said the company has applied a range of cutting-edge technologies as part of the production process in an effort to keep up with the delivery schedule, thereby ensuring that product quality falls in line with the strict requirements of Japanese customers.
In addition to the project with a Japanese partner, Doosan Vina has also exported more than 1,600 tonnes of modules and boiler structures to the Sriracha refinery in Thailand.
This marks the third shipment and also the final one under the TOP Fired Heater project which was signed back in September, 2019, with JNK Heaters of the Republic of Korea.
The completion of these two shipments has contributed to bringing Doosan Vina's total export volume since the beginning of the year to more than 7,500 tonnes.
