Domestic petrol prices drop on low global demand

VOV.VN - The domestic retail prices of petrol fell at 15:00 p.m. on August 26 on low global demand following an announcement made by both the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The two ministries decided to change the use of subsidies from the petrol price stabilisation fund.

The subsidy for RON 95 was set at VND150 per litre, whilst for diesel and kerosene the subsidies were VND400 per litre. Elsewhere, the subsidy for mazut was VND300 per kilo.

As a result, the retail price of biofuel E5 RON92 is now sold at no more than VND19,891 per litre, while RON 95-III is priced at VND21,131 per litre.

The price of diesel 0.05S is no more than VND15,667 per litre, while kerosene is more than VND14.762 per litre. In addition, the price of mazut is now sold at no more than VND15,055 per kilo.

According to the two ministries, the prices of petrol and oil in the global market have been fluctuating over the past 15 days, with the majority of recent changes seeing a decline in prices.
