Digital Trust in Finance forum to tackle rising cyber fraud risks
VOV.VN - Hanoi is scheduled to host the “Digital Trust in Finance 2026” forum on May 12, aiming to strengthen trust and security in Vietnam’s digital finance ecosystem amid increasingly sophisticated online fraud.
Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Security, the State Bank of Vietnam and the Ministry of Finance, the event is expected to draw more than 1,000 participants, over 30 domestic and foreign speakers and feature 20 exhibition booths on digital trust and fintech solutions.
Organised by the Digital Trust Alliance in coordination with the Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department (A05) and the National Cybersecurity Association, the forum will focus on building financial digital trust in the AI era, proposing policies for a transparent and secure ecosystem, and promoting cooperation among regulators, businesses, media and users.
Key sessions will address challenges such as generative AI, deepfakes, personal data protection, anti-fraud solutions and the role of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in shaping trust. Discussions will also highlight user awareness, behaviour and expectations, alongside measures to combat online scams and money laundering in digital finance.
Through the forum, organisers expect to realise a 2026 action programme to boost digital safety awareness, strengthen information verification and enhance collaboration between the State, businesses and society to better protect users online.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, losses from online scams in Vietnam were estimated at more than VND8 trillion (US$320 million) in 2025, underscoring growing risks in the digital financial environment.
