Deputy PM hails TH Group’s Russian dairy plant as model for foreign investment

VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son has praised TH Group’s fresh milk processing plant as a model for successful Vietnamese investment abroad, ahead of its planned 2026 launch.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son on October 17 visited and had a working session with the staff at TH Group’s fresh milk processing plant in Kaluga as part of his visit to Russia and participation in the 8th Russian Energy Week Forum,

TH Group’s Kaluga plant is a key component of the Group’s high-tech dairy farming and milk production project in Russia. The project encompasses a network of dairy farms in the Moscow, Kaluga, Bashkortostan, and Primorsky regions, along with three processing plants in Kaluga, Bashkortostan, and Primorsky, implemented in two investment phases. The project is currently in its first phase.

Construction of the Kaluga plant is now 70% complete. The facility is expected to begin operations in the first half of 2026 with a capacity of 500 tons per day. Planned products include pasteurized and UHT milk, drinking yogurt, and cream.

Rasul Aliev, Deputy General Director in charge of crop and livestock management for TH Group in Russia, said the farms in Russia are achieving high milk yields, and the quality of TH’s milk is highly regarded by major Russian processors such as Danone and WBD.

Currently, TH’s daily milk output in Russia exceeds 100 tons, with projections to reach 250 tons per day per farm. Two existing farms will therefore supply enough raw milk to meet the plant’s processing capacity of 500 tons per day. Additionally, TH plans to develop one more farm in Moscow and another in Kaluga.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that TH is a private enterprise with effective business operations that actively expands investment abroad, not only in Russia but also in Southeast Asia and Australia.

“I highly appreciate the efforts of the staff in Russia, who have completed a significant workload. I hope the Group will continue to focus on finalizing production lines to bring the plant into operation by early 2026 according to the planned schedule. Our Russian partners also regard this as a model for foreign joint venture investment in Kaluga,” the Deputy PM said.

He urged TH’s staff and workers to continue ensuring a steady supply of raw materials for the plant, benefiting the Group while serving the Russian people in line with Russia’s food self-sufficiency objectives, including providing dairy products to local consumers.
