De Heuss Vietnam opens 5th factory
(VOV) -De Heus LLC on March 27 launched in Vinh Phuc province its 5th factory in Vietnam producing high quality feed for pigs, poultry, cattle, and aquaculture fish farming.
Provincial leaders from the province along with the Ambassador of the Netherlands, De Heus' employees, partners, and around 1,400 customers attended the official opening of the facility located at the Binh Xuyen Industrial Park.
With a total investment of US$30 million and a production capacity of 400,000 tons of feed per year, the plant is expected to follow the success of its Hai Phong factory in Northern Vietnam, bringing the total companywide capacity to 850,000 tons annually.
Integrating the most advanced infrastructure, the new facility has been constructed in accordance with the highest of international quality standards. To achieve this, De Heus imported equipment and machinery from Europe and America.
"This high-end facility will enable us to produce high quality animal feed to exceed our customers' expectations. It will sustain our leadership in the animal feed sector and contribute to development of the agricultural sector in Vietnam," said Mr Gabor Fluit, general director of the company.
Located 50 km from Hanoi, the Binh Xuyen Industrial park offers a strategic location as it is readily accessible to potential farming areas.
The company is a member of the Royal De Heus group, an international organization with a leading position in the animal feed industry founded in 1911 in the Netherlands. It has since expanded to a feed conglomerate with business activities in more than 50 countries.
