Da Nang promotes logistics cooperation with Chinese businesses
A networking and exchange programme with Chinese businesses was held on January 13 in Da Nang city to explore collaboration opportunities in innovation, technology, and logistics.
The event was jointly held by the Centre for Innovation and Startup Support under Da Nang city’s Department of Science and Technology, the National Innovation Institute and the National Startup Support Centre of the Ministry of Science and Technology
The event followed the outcomes of recent working visits by the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology to China, aiming to strengthen linkages between stakeholders in the city’s startup and innovation ecosystem and the Chinese business community.
Through the programme, participants shared information, experiences, technology trends and emerging business models, while seeking opportunities for investment cooperation, product commercialisation, technology transfer and market expansion.
Speaking at the event, Le Son Phong, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Science and Technology, said the programme was expected to help Chinese enterprises gain a comprehensive understanding of Da Nang’s investment environment, policies supporting startups and innovation, and the city’s development potential. It also provided a platform for businesses from both sides to directly connect, exchange views and explore cooperation in research, production, technology transfer, investment and market development.
The department programme aims to support Chinese enterprises and local partners, creating the best possible conditions for cooperation to be carried out in a practical, effective, and sustainable way.
With the goodwill and active engagement of partners, particularly the Chinese business community, the cooperation is expected to generate concrete and long-term opportunities, contributing to the development, deeper integration and sustainability of Da Nang’s startup and innovation ecosystem, he added.
Representatives of Chinese enterprises shared their experience in project implementation, market development and international cooperation, with a focus on high technology, digital industry, logistics and supply chains. Direct exchanges and discussions helped clarify cooperation needs, strengths and potential in research, production, technology transfer and market expansion.
On the same day, the Chinese business delegation visited and worked at the Da Nang – Greater Bay Area Innovation Space (Enosta Space), Software Park No. 2, and the Da Nang Semiconductor & AI Centre, gaining first-hand insights into the city’s innovation infrastructure, digital industry and high-tech development orientation.
The delegation also toured Lien Chieu Port to explore logistics and supply chain development potential, held working sessions with the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Authority, and visited the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Free Trade Zone to study investment opportunities in high technology, industrial manufacturing and logistics services.
Through a series of activities, Chinese enterprises gained a well-rounded understanding of Da Nang’s investment climate, tech and logistics infrastructure, and its startup and innovation scene. This serves as an important foundation for promoting future investment, business cooperation and technology transfer, enhancing the competitiveness of local enterprises and startups, and strengthening friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between businesses of the two countries.
