Conclusion on anti-dumping probe into local painted steel strapping delayed

VOV.VN - The Anti-Dumping Commission of Australia (ADC) has announced the fifth extension granted to issue the final report relating to an investigation into the alleged dumping and subsidisation of painted steel strapping from China and Vietnam.

This decision has seen the due date for the final report issuance extended to October 26, with the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam citing the ADC notice.

This comes as the ADC also officially concluded that Sam Hwan Vina Co. Ltd, the largest Vietnamese exporter in investigation No. 553, did dump painted steel strapping. However, the dumping margin was less than 2%, meaning that it decided to terminate the probe into the firm.

With an annual export turnover of approximately US$4.6 million, Sam Hwan Vina Co. Ltd accounts for 83% of Vietnamese exports of the product, the authority said.

Furthermore, the investigation into the remaining Chinese and Vietnamese businesses will go ahead in the near future.

The ADC is scheduled to report to the Minister for Industry, Science and Technology on this investigation by 26 October. Following this, the applicant of this probe may request a review of the decision within 30 days of the notice publication, according to the ADC.
