CIAME Asia Vietnam 2026 launched to boost farm mechanisation
VOV.VN - A launch ceremony for the “Vietnam International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition 2026” (CIAME Asia Vietnam 2026) was held in Ho Chi Minh City on April 15.
The event is the result of cooperation between Chinese agricultural machinery associations and Vietnamese units, including the Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Post-Harvest Technology and the Vietnam Society of Agricultural Engineering. Amid rising demand for farm mechanisation in Vietnam, the exhibition is expected to serve as a platform linking businesses, policymakers and producers.
Scheduled for July 23–25 at the Sky Expo Exhibition Center in Quang Trung Software Park, the exhibition will showcase a wide range of equipment, including tractors, tillage and harvesting machines, smart irrigation systems, precision agriculture technologies, sustainable energy solutions, as well as post-harvest and logistics services.
A series of business matching sessions, technical seminars and thematic forums will also be held to promote technology transfer and international cooperation, with major industry players already confirming participation.
You Ling, vice president of the China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association (CAMDA), noted that Chinese agricultural machinery offers competitive pricing and practical applicability, particularly suited to the small-scale segment that dominates regional production.
He added that China is ready to cooperate with Vietnam to advance mechanisation and support sustainable agricultural development.
Vu Van Tien, deputy head of the Department of Cooperatives and Rural Development, expressed hope that the exhibition would help domestic stakeholders access new technologies, expand partnerships and accelerate comprehensive mechanisation in agricultural production.
