Cambodia remains top market for Vietnamese fertilizer producer
VOV.VN - PetroVietnam Ca Mau Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (PVCFC) on May 28 officially opened its representative office in Phnom Penh, marking a decade since Ca Mau urea fertilizer (branded as “Dam Ca Mau -The Pearl of the Golden Season” entered the Cambodian market and gained the trust of local customers.

Speaking at the launch event, company leaders said the opening marked an important milestone, underscoring the company’s strategic progress and its contributions to a more modern, professional, and sustainable agricultural sector in Cambodia.
Since its first shipments to Cambodia in 2015, the company has effectively utilize its geographic advantage, efficient logistics, and high product quality. Within a year, its urea market share in Cambodia exceeded 30%, and by 2015, it had reached 42%, making it the market leader.
To date, the company has supplied more than 1.5 million tonnes of fertilizer to Cambodia. In the first five months of 2025 alone, revenue from this market surpassed VND581 billion, thus reaffirming Cambodia's position as a core export destination for the company.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu, who attended the event, praised the company's efforts and achievements in building its name and steadily expanding in Cambodia, a market of great importance to Vietnam.

“This is a remarkable development in the economic, trade, and investment ties between the two countries. The growing presence of Vietnamese enterprises in Cambodia will not only strengthen economic and trade cooperation, but also deepen the relationship and goodwill between our peoples,” said Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu.
He expressed confidence that PVCFC would continue to serve as a reliable partner for Cambodian farmers by offering high-quality fertilizer products that meet both market and consumer needs.
A company representative said PVCFC plans to further expand its reach in Cambodia by partnering with leading local distributors. It also aims to introduce new, higher-quality product lines, including Polyphosphate NPK fertilizers with enhanced nutrient content and improved features, to meet diverse farming needs across various soil conditions.
