Binh Phuoc promotes investment with US businesses

VOV.VN - Becamex IDC Corporation in collaboration with the Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee co-hosted a teleconference on May 5 aimed at investment promotion with investors from the United States.

Huynh Anh Minh, vice chairman of the Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee, emphasised that amid the complicated nature of COVID-19 developments globally, the teleconference was of great significance for both Binh Phuoc and the US business community.

The event affirms Binh Phuoc’s strong desire to expand co-operation and attract greater investment while simultaneously displaying the goodwill of US firms towards the Vietnamese locality, said Minh.

As Binh Phuoc has great potential and plenty of advantages, it aspires to ramp up co-operation with financiers from the US in fields such as the high-tech industry, mechatronics, the agro-processing industry, supporting industries, and hi-tech farming, he noted.

At present, Binh Phuoc is home to 17 industrial zones featuring a total area of 10,000 hectares under planning for the 2021 - 2030 period.

Most notably, the Becamex - Binh Phuoc Industrial and Urban Complex located in Chon Thanh district has been built on a large scale and is home to modern infrastructure which can facilitate investors’ operations.

To date the complex has attracted 49 projects with capital of approximately US$1 billion, while Becamex IDC was recently named as the country’s most prestigious industrial real estate company.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Ha Kim Ngoc affirmed that the US remains one of the nation’s leading trade partners, with joint economic and trade co-operation maintaining steady progress, despite facing a slight downturn due to the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Minh concluded by pledging to improve the investment climate, ensure openness and transparency, fine-tune the legal system and create more optimal conditions for investors.
