Autumn Fair 2025 – A catalyst for stimulating domestic demand and economic growth
VOV.VN - More than just a platform to promote Vietnamese goods, Autumn Fair 2025 serves as a dynamic “playground” connecting Vietnamese businesses with international importers and distributors, fostering investment cooperation, technology transfer, and export market expansion.
According to data from the National Statistics Office, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue increased by 9.5% year on year in the first nine months of 2025. To achieve annual targets, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, along with businesses and associations, has implemented various trade promotion programmes, with Autumn Fair 2025 considered a key highlight in the final quarter of the year.
With its largest scale ever and a diverse range of industries, from agriculture and food to industrial products and “Made in Vietnam” artificial intelligence, participating businesses have introduced attractive promotions, drawing strong consumer interest and leaving a lasting impression.
A business representative shared that for this year’s fair, they prepared hundreds of specialty products from their region to both promote a Tay ethnic community-based ecotourism destination and connect local specialties with broader markets.
Not only food and agricultural booths attract crowds, but industrial and high-tech product displays have also gained significant attention from consumers.
“I’m very surprised to see that Vietnamese-made products are modern and well-designed, comparable to imported goods,” said Nguyen Phuong Thao from Vinh Tuy ward, Hanoi.
Unlike previous fairs that focused mainly on wholesale trading, this year’s participants prepared ample stock and promotional programmes to encourage Vietnamese consumers to prioritize domestic industrial products.
In addition to enjoying discounted prices and experiencing new products, consumers can directly share feedback and evaluate service quality via digital platforms, an unprecedented feature at the fair.
“We are promoting engagement on social media and digital platforms, and especially creating forums where consumers can provide feedback that is addressed promptly,” said Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
At the fair, adults enjoy shopping for local specialties, while children are captivated by traditional cultural performances and excited to experience modern robotics technology. Together, these elements create unforgettable impressions for Vietnamese consumers.
Supporting businesses in global supply chains
Beyond stimulating consumption, Autumn Fair 2025 also serves as a major trade hub for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam.
According to preliminary statistics from the organidsing committee, more than 40 memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and cooperation agreements were signed within the first three days, with dozens of businesses exceeding expected sales. Notably, many small-scale enterprises have gained opportunities to explore supplying products to domestic and international supermarket chains.
Many businesses noted that a key barrier to entering large distribution systems is limited production scale, often requiring partnerships with third parties. However, they aim to develop their own brands in the long term.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has arranged product categories into specific groups and facilitated direct business matchmaking to ensure optimal trade efficiency.
“Product sectors are categorized to better support trade activities between international buyers and Vietnamese manufacturers. Domestically, we organize supply-demand connections, linking producers with major distributors such as Central Retail and Emart Market,” noted Vu Ba Phu, director of the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
More than just a marketplace, Autumn Fair 2025 has been described as a “six-most super fair”—featuring the highest number of participating businesses, the most diverse products, the best promotions, the most convenient spaces, the most vibrant trade promotion activities, and the largest number of visitors.
In the context of Vietnam’s transition toward a creative and deeply integrated economy, such events are considered a crucial driving force to promote the “Vietnamese people prioritise Vietnamese goods” campaign and stimulate overall market demand.
Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasised that the fair has created opportunities to connect production with consumption, boost domestic purchasing power, promote Vietnamese products internationally, enhance product value and competitiveness, and lay the foundation for retailers to participate more deeply in the global market.
In addition to trade activities, the fair also hosts numerous conferences on rules of origin and updates on new consumer trends for businesses. These efforts help protect the domestic market from counterfeit goods disguised as Vietnamese products while ensuring consumers have access to transparent and reliable product information.
