AI and Smart Manufacturing to take centre stage at VIS 2025
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Innovation Summit 2025 (VIS 2025), slated for November 6–7 in Ho Chi Minh City, is poised to become a major action-oriented forum focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), smart manufacturing, fintech, and green technology.

Co-hosted by InnoLab Asia, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, and Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine, this year’s summit is expected to draw over 3,000 delegates and 150 experts from 30 countries. It serves as a dynamic space connecting policymakers, industry leaders, and the innovation ecosystem.
Themed “Building Bridges to Innovation and Growth, VIS 2025” will feature several specialized areas, including a high-level strategic forum, in-depth panel discussions by the technology sector, an innovation solution showcase, and direct B2B investment and cooperation sessions.
The summit’s tech focus will centre around today’s most critical topics, such as AI, Fintech, ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance), Smart Manufacturing, and Green Finance. The discussions are not just about trends but offer practical solutions, enabling Vietnamese businesses to explore breakthrough technologies and learn from successful models globally.
Ted Osius, President and CEO of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), emphasised Vietnam’s strategic role in the regional value chain and its potential to become a logistics and manufacturing hub. Representing over 190 top global corporations in tech and finance, USABC expressed its commitment to connecting members with Vietnam’s startups and innovation community through this summit.
From the regional perspective, Peter Mok, Executive Director of the Qianhai Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub (Shenzhen – Hong Kong, China), highlighted Vietnam’s significant advantages in its young, dynamic workforce and the government’s long-term strategies in high-tech sectors like AI, semiconductors, and smart manufacturing.
Huynh Cong Thang, founder of InnoLab Asia and a member of the organising committee, stressed that VIS 2025 is not just a discussion forum but a “platform for action”, where businesses can access real technologies, sign partnerships, and accelerate digital transformation, green growth, and global market expansion.
The Vietnam Innovation Summit is an annual international forum organised by InnoLab Asia, continuing the Open Innovation Vietnam initiative launched in 2018. Over the years, VIS has become a prestigious regional event in the Asia-Pacific (APAC), bringing together government leaders, top corporations, investment funds, universities, and the startup community from over 30 countries.
More than just a venue for policy and trend discussions, VIS serves as a global bridge, channeling resources, knowledge, and cooperation opportunities from leading innovation ecosystems worldwide to Vietnam, while also showcasing Vietnam’s potential and initiatives to regional and global audiences.
Positioned as Vietnam’s innovation gateway to the APAC region, VIS is on a mission to foster tripartite collaboration between government, corporations, and startups, thereby enhancing national competitiveness and contributing to sustainable growth driven by science, technology, and open innovation.
