The goal was set after a company analysis indicated that the consumption of tra fish will increase as a result of the economic recovery of importing countries.

In order to fulfill the plan, Agifish will promote its exports to traditional markets like the US.

In 2009, the company could only export about 24,000 tonnes of tra fish, just 71.8 percent of its target, earning US$57.5 million.
