400 firms join HCM City international food and beverage exhibition
VOV.VN - The international exhibition for food, beverages, bakery equipment, restaurants, hotels and hospitality services (Food & Hospitality Vietnam 2026) opened in Ho Chi Minh City on March 24, bringing together 400 companies from 36 countries and territories worldwide.
Notably, the Vietnam Bird’s Nest Festival made its debut at the exhibition, serving as a strategic highlight expected to promote Vietnamese exports to international markets.
This year’s edition stands out for its expanded scale and first-time co-location with an international exhibition on restaurant, hotel equipment, and catering services, broadening the ecosystem of solutions and business opportunities.
Organisers noted that the combined events support efforts to boost Vietnamese exports while reflecting the strong transformation in the food and hospitality sector. Key trends shaping the industry include healthy food, responsible consumption, kitchen automation, and personalised customer experiences. Businesses are increasingly focused on product innovation, food safety standards, and adaptation to global supply chains.
The exhibition showcases the latest products in ingredients, beverages, processing technologies, kitchen equipment, operational solutions, and supply chain support services, helping businesses enhance operational efficiency in a rapidly evolving market environment.
Do Hong Xoan, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Tourism Association and President of the Vietnam Hotel Association, highlighted that the exhibition continues to strengthen its reputation by attracting high-quality exhibitors and showcasing advanced equipment.
Compared with 2004, when the exhibition was first held, Vietnam’s tourism accommodation sector has grown more than 20-fold in terms of establishments and 10-fold in room capacity. The country now has 41,000 accommodation facilities with 810,000 rooms. The number of high-end restaurants has also increased significantly, driving strong demand for modern equipment and solutions.
The exhibition provides an opportunity for hotels and restaurants to seek high-end solutions suited to their needs.
“I hope the event will continue to be held alternately in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. It will play an important role in modernising infrastructure and enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam’s tourism sector,” Xoan said.
