The fair opened on March 27 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in District 7 to help Vietnamese enterprises to introduce their products, improve product quality and competitiveness, and promoteexports to major international markets.

The event is hosting more than 700 booths, doublinglast year’s number, all of which are showcasing the country’s major export industries such as food and beverages, farm and fisheries produce, furniture, handicrafts, textiles and garments, footwear, handbags, rubber, plastics, electronics, and supporting services.

Most notably, it has attracted the participation of some of the world's leading e-commerce platforms, thereby opening up fresh opportunities to bring Vietnamese goods directly to international consumers whilstpromoting exports through e-commerce channels.

In particular, a special area has been set up to displaybird’s nests to help the local specialty affirm its quality and potential in domestic and international markets.

A number of sidelines activities will also be held, including trade promotional programmes and conferences focusing on green exports, green growth, and clean energy, as well as business matching programmes which aim to bring together local firms and foreign supermarket and retail chains.

HCM City Export 2025 is scheduled to run until March 29.

HCM City Export Forum and Trade Fair slated for May 8-11

The Ho Chi Minh City Export Forum and Fair 2024 will be held in the southern metropolis on May 8-11, the municipal Department of Industry and Trade announced on February 22.
