10th Vietnam National Brand announcement ceremony slated for October 16
VOV.VN - An announcement ceremony for products achieving the Vietnam National Brand status for the 10th edition will take place in Hanoi on October 16, honoring 499 products from 227 enterprises.
The ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), will be held at the National Convention Center in Hanoi under the theme "Flow of Vietnamese Brands." The event is expected to gather approximately 1,500 delegates and guests, with a live broadcast on Vietnam Television (VTV) and streaming on the VTVGo platform.
In this 10th edition, MoIT recognized 499 products from 227 enterprises as achieving the Vietnam National Brand for 2026 under Decision No. 2136 issued on August 29, 2026. The selected products span multiple sectors, including processing and manufacturing, agriculture and food, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, finance and banking, telecommunications and technology, transport and logistics, and trade and services.
This outcome follows a rigorous process of dossier submission, screening, evaluation, and appraisal based on the Program's criteria system. Notably, the 2026 selection implemented a revised set of criteria in which the "Innovation" category was raised from 180 to 300 points, accounting for 30% of the total score.
The evaluation content also places greater emphasis on research and development, the application of science and technology, intellectual property assets, digital transformation, green economy, and human resource development.
According to MoIT, this adjustment aims to link selection results with enterprises' innovation capacity, adaptability, and long-term competitiveness. Participation in the selection process also serves as an opportunity for enterprises to review their governance capacity, innovation activities, intellectual property protection, and fulfillment of legal obligations.
The year 2026 marks 23 years since the implementation of the Vietnam National Brand Program and represents its 10th announcement edition. Launched in 2003, the Program is built on three core values: "Quality - Innovation - Pioneering Capacity." The number of enterprises with products achieving National Brand status has increased from 30 in 2008 to 190 in 2024 and 227 in 2026.
According to Brand Finance, Vietnam's national brand value reached US$462.279 billion in 2026, a 45.14% increase compared to 2020, ranking 32nd out of 193 ranked countries. Over the 2020-2026 period, the proportion of enterprises with National Brand products among Vietnam's top 50 most valuable brands increased from 42% to 50%.
Under the theme "Flow of Vietnamese Brands," the ceremony is designed to recognize the results of the 10th edition while continuing to spread the Program's values within the business community. Alongside the main ceremony, an exhibition highlighting the journey of the Vietnam National Brand and showing products recognized in the 10th edition will be held at the National Convention Center.
