The 12th National Party Congress held the closing session on January 28, the congress said in its press release the same day.

The 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) concluded with success on January 28 after eight days of working.

The new Politburo, Party General Secretary, Central Committee’s Secretariat and the Central Committee’s Commission of Inspection in the 12th tenure as elected at the first plenum of the 12th Central Committee were announced on January 28.
