The 13th National Assembly (NA)’s Standing Committee will spend much of the two and a half working days of its 43rd session debating the implementation of the law on the NA’s organisation. 

Theoretical lessons on the formation and development of Vietnam’s National Assembly (NA) from 1946 to present were reviewed at a seminar in Hanoi on December 8, as part of activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the first general NA election (January 6, 1946 - 2016).

Lawmakers adopted the draft Civil Code (amended) with 86.84% of votes in favour during the ongoing tenth session of the 13th National Assembly in Hanoi on November 24.

The election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels of the 2016-20 tenure will take place on May 22, 2016, which is a Sunday in line with the law.

National Assembly deputies passed the draft Law on Meteorology and Hydrology with 83% approval during their plenary session in Hanoi on November 23.
