President Quang awards promotions to army officers
VOV.VN - President Tran Dai Quang granted promotion decisions to Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) officers at a ceremony on Friday (September 1) in Hanoi in recognition of the Party and State for their contributions to the VPA and the national construction and development process.

Tran Viet Khoa, Director of the Vietnam Academy of Defense, is promoted from the rank of major general to lieutenant general.
Addressing the event, President Quang asked the people’s armed forces and the Vietnam People’s Army to heighten revolutionary vigilance and improve their combative capacity, deserving the loyal and trustworthy political and fighting force of the Party, State and people.
On behalf of the promoted officers, Sen. Lieut. Gen. Phan Van Giang pledged his best efforts to fulfill all tasks entrusted to by the Party, State, people and army.
