President chairs Judicial Reform Committee's session

VOV.VN - President Tran Dai Quang on January 11 chaired the second session of the Central Steering Committee on Judicial Reform in Hanoi.

Members of the Central Steering Committee on Judicial Reform discussed draft reports on judicial reform last year and plan for this year on Wednesday.

In his speech, President Tran Dai Quang asked relevant Party committees and organizations to promote the communications of judicial reform targets as stipulated by Party guidelines and the serious compliance with the Constitution and newly enacted laws by the National Assembly.

At the first session, the Vietnamese State leader underlined the need to build documents guiding the enforcement of new laws and codes on judicial procedures adopted by the National Assembly, and improving the efficiency of operations of judicial offices, and organisations of lawyers and notaries.

The State leader asked committee members to strictly follow key tasks to ensure the leadership of the Party and strengthen international cooperation in judicial reform. 

He also emphasized the importance of improving the knowledge and skills of judicial officers and implementing measures to prevent negative deeds in judicial activities.

The Committee is expected to hold 4 sessions this year to review 6 draft reports on judicial reform.
