President attends 70th national police conference

In his speech, President Truong Tan Sang praised the People’s Public Security force for their contributions to commanding the Party and State in promulgating laws and policies on ensuring law and order.

The public security force has fulfilled its tasks of maintaining national security and social order and safety, he said while urging the Public Security Force to mobilize the combined strength of the political system, people and army and constantly improve their professionalism to defend national independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as protect the Party, State and people, socialism and national renovation, and industrialization and modernization. 

However, the State leader pointed out its shortcomings in investigating criminal cases and preventing crimes. 

The leading task of the force is to rely on the combined strength of the entire political system, army and people as well as continuously improve professional knowledge to firmly safeguard national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, he said.

President Sang also underlined the need for the sector to protect the Party, State, people and socialism as well as the cause of national renewal, industrialization and modernization.
