Vietnam's National Day marked abroad
VOV.VN - Ambassador Kham-Inh Khitchadeth, Head of the Lao Permanent Mission to the UN, World Trade Organisation and other international organisations in Geneva, Switzerland has congratulated the Vietnamese mission on the country’s 72nd National Day (September 2).
Vietnam’s regaining of independence in 1945 was of great significance to the revolutionary causes of three Indochina countries, he said while praising Vietnam for its recent achievements.
He said he believes that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people would reap more important successes in the cause of national construction and development.
Ambassador Duong Chi Dung Head of the Vietnamese permanent mission to the United Nations, World Trade Organisation and other international organisations in Geneva, in turn told his guest that the 72-year development path of Vietnam since 1945 represents a landmark in its friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Laos.
He said the close coordination between the Vietnamese and Lao permanent missions in Geneva is also a demonstration of the Vietnam-Laos traditional relations and special solidarity.
In mid-September, the Vietnamese mission plans to hold a ceremony marking the 72nd anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day and 40 years since it became an official member of the UN, he added.
Meanwhile, the Vietnamese Embassy in Tanzania hosted a National Day celebration in Dar es Salaam for the Vietnamese community on the night of September 2.
Ambassador Nguyen Kim Doanh briefed the guests on developments in Vietnam in the first half of this year and relationship between Vietnam and Tanzania. The Ambassador said both countries are consolidating their traditional friendship which has been nurtured by the two countries’ leaders.
