Vietnamese, Cambodian leaders exchange congratulations
VOV.VN - Vietnamese and Cambodian Party, State, government and legislative leaders have exchanged letters of congratulation on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
Vietnamese leaders expressed their pleasure over the continuous development of bilateral ties over the past half a century, praising the mutual support and unity as valuable asset for both nations.
They believe that the good neighborliness, traditional friendship, and long-term and comprehensive cooperation will continue to be promoted for mutual benefit towards world peace, stability, cooperation and development.
The Cambodia leaders highlighted the centuries-old relationship between the two countries, noting that the Cambodian and Vietnamese have together experienced numerous difficulties and hardships.
The strong historical relations, basing on friendship and mutual respect, have created a solid foundation for the current close bilateral cooperation.
In their letters, the Cambodian leaders expressed their admiration for the great achievements that the Vietnamese people have obtained under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
They wished the Vietnamese people will successfully accomplish the industrialisation and modernisation process and affirmed that Cambodia will forever keep in mind the Vietnamese people’s assistance and sacrifice in the liberation of the Cambodian people from the genocidal disaster.
On this occasion, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and Cambodia’s Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn also exchanged congratulatory letters.
