Vietnam wants to enhance ties with New Zealand

(VOV) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has reaffirmed Vietnam’s policy of strengthening cooperation with New Zealand.

At a reception for NZ Minister of Foreign Affairs Murray Mccully in Hanoi on November 8, he expressed hope that through Mccully’s visit, the two countries will enhance ties in various fields such as national security and defence, trade, agro-forestry-fishery, investment, education-training, labour, culture, and tourism.

Phuc asked New Zealand to support Vietnam in conducting negotiations for the signing of a Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement.

The NZ diplomat said his country is keen to cooperate with Vietnam in trade, investment, education and training and other areas.
