Vietnam, US seek ways to enhance defence cooperation

Deputy Minister of National Defence Sen. Lieut. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh and US Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius discussed measures to further promote defence cooperation between the two countries during their meeting in Hanoi on March 17.

Both officials expressed their delight at the fruitful defence cooperation between Vietnam and the US over the past years.

They agreed that the two nations should foster collaboration in various fields, including searching of missing-in-action soldiers, returning of remembrances, Agent Orange/dioxin detoxification, and bomb and mine clearance.
