Dung thanked the WB for its active participation in preparing for the event and stated that Vietnam is ready to hold dialogues with all donors and development partners.
Regarding Vietnam’s current development policies, the PM confirmed the Vietnamese Government continues pursuing the target of curbing inflation, stabilizing the macroeconomy, maintaining reasonable growth and ensuring social welfare.
Economic restructuring remains below expectation, therefore, the Government will work harder to solve bad debts in combination with revamping the banking system and State-owned enterprises, Dung said.
Kwakwa informed Dung about major preparations for the CG meeting, saying that she hopes PM Dung will attend the event to discuss education, training and economic restructuring with donors and partners.
The WB always joins hands with Vietnam during its development process and praises the Vietnamese Government’s efforts to restructure the national economy, she added.
