Vietnam, Mongolia hold political consultations

(VOV) - Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Ho Xuan Son and his Mongolian counterpart Dambyn Gankhuyag chaired the fourth round of political consultations between the two countries in Hanoi on October 16.

Both sides informed each other of the situation in their respective countries and agreed on a host of measures to strengthen their traditional friendship and cooperation in various areas, as well as at international forums.

They exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

The same day, the Mongolian diplomat paid a courtesy visit to Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, who expressed his elation at the fine development of bilateral ties over the years.

Minh proposed that both countries strengthen cooperation based on the Vietnam-Mongolia friendship and cooperation treaty, meeting the interests and aspirations of their people, and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the rest of the world.
