Vietnam, Japan boost parliamentary ties

VOV.VN - The close-knit relationship between the Vietnamese and Japanese friendship parliamentary groups has supported the two governments’ activities, promoted people-to-people diplomacy, and improved the efficiency of cooperation projects.

Chairman of the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group To Huy Rua made the remark at a June 6 reception for the Special Advisor to the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance Tsutomo Takebe in Hanoi.

Rua hailed Mr Takebe’s active role in encouraging cooperation activities between Vietnam and Japan in a variety of fields. He said Vietnam will continuously nurture and develop the two countries’ rapport for the sake of their people as well as peace, stability and prosperity in Asia.

Tsutomu Takebe in turn expressed his delight at his revisit to Vietnam and highly valued the comprehensive development in relations between Japan and Vietnam and particularly the two friendship parliamentary groups.

He informed the host that the first MA training course of the Japan-Vietnam University will start in September.
