Vietnam condoles on former ASEAN Secretary General's death

VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh on December 1 extended condolences to Thailand's Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai over the death of former ASEAN Secretary General Surin Pitsuwan.

Surin Pitsuwan also served as Thailand’s Foreign Minister in the late 1990s and is best known for his time at the head of ASEAN from 2008 until 2012.

Thailand’s Democrat Party said Surin died November 30 in Bangkok of a sudden heart attack.
