Vietnam celebrates 55 years of friendship with Laos

VOV.VN - The fabric of Vietnamese society is strengthened by our enduring links with Laos, said Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on July 18 at a commemorative reception in Hanoi on the 55th anniversary of relations.

Vietnam and Laos are strategically important to each other and today we recognize the enormous potential for further solidifying these relations and elevating them to a yet higher level, Mr Trong continues.

Together, Mr Trong notes, the two nations have a partnership that has and will continue to contribute to regional peace, stability, security, development and prosperity.
