Vice President leaves for Francophonie Summit

(VOV) - Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan has left Hanoi for the 14th annual Francophonie Summit to be held in Kinshasa, Congo, on October 13-14.

The summit will bring together the Heads of State and Government of 75 French speaking countries to discuss a wide range of issues around the theme “Francophonie, environmental and economic challenges of the French-speaking world in the face of global governance.”

High on the agenda will be discussions on Africa’s role in the Francophonie community and global governance, environmental and economic challenges, popularisation of French, and global security-political situation.

As a proactive and responsible member, Vietnam will participate in all activities of the summit to make a practical contribution to building a strong French speaking community, promoting cooperation and development, especially in economics, and expanding cooperation partnerships with other French speaking nations.
