US, Vietnam foster coast guard cooperation
(VOV) - Vietnam and US armed forces will further enhance cooperation, especially in training, information sharing and law performance in the sea.
Commandant of the US Coast Guard Admiral Paul E. Zukunft who is on a visit to Vietnam affirmed Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army at a meeting in Hanoi on September 21.

Mr Tuan appreciated the sound comprehensive partnership between the two countries, of which bilateral defence cooperation has contributed to keeping peace and stability in the region and the world.
He hoped that the two sides will continue to effectively implement cooperative projects in the spirit of the comprehensive partnership founded in 2013, a memorandum of understanding on defence cooperation signed in 2011 and a joint vision statement on defence relations signed in 2015.
