Top Vietnamese leader applauds Laos’ tremendous achievements
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong congratulated Laos on its outstanding achievements recorded after three years of carrying out the resolution of the 10th National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) at a reception for Chairwoman of the Lao National Assembly Pany Yathotou in Hanoi on March 5.

Trong also suggested strengthening the supervision and direction of the implementation of Vietnam-Laos joint statements and agreements reached by the parties, states, governments and legislative bodies.
The top Vietnamese leader called for stronger coordination and mutual support between the two sides at regional and international forums.
Pany Yathotou, in turn, expressed her confidence that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Vietnamese people will reap more significant achievements in the cause of reform and successfully realize the resolution of the 12th National Congress of the CPV.
She thanked Vietnam for its valuable support of Laos from the past to present and hailed the outcomes of the recent official visit to Laos by Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong.
She also updated her host on the results of the cooperation between the two National Assemblies, as well as the outcomes reached during a working session between her delegation and their Vietnamese counterpart.
The Lao National Assembly will work closely with its Vietnamese counterpart to effectively carry out their cooperation agreements as well as those between the two parties and states, the Lao parliamentary leader added.
