Top leader extends sympathies to Ethiopia over plane crash
General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Nguyen Phu Trong on March 12 sent a message of sympathies to Ethiopian President Sahle Work Zewde over the recent crash of an Ethiopian plane.

Flight ET 302 of Ethiopian Airlines crashed on March 10 near Bishoftu town, 62 km southeast of the Ethiopian capital city of Addis Ababa, killing all 149 passengers and eight crew members aboard. The unfortunate plane was a Boeing 737-800 Max.
The plane left Bole airport in Addis Ababa at 8:38 am (local time) before losing contact with the control tower just six minutes later.
