Senior Lieut-General receives British diplomat

At a reception in Hanoi on August 2 for British Ambassador to Vietnam Giles Lever, Mr Tuan said over the years,  the bilateral defense relations have been enhanced and both countries are realizing the memorandum on the bilateral defense cooperation.

Tuan said he hopes the UK will continue to help Vietnam in peace-keeping force building, defense industry, and English training in the time ahead.

Ambassador Lever agreed with Mr Tuan’s proposals, adding that his nation always attaches importance to cooperation with Vietnam including defense ties.

The UK diplomat called on both countries to further bolster the bilateral relations in line with the signed memorandum to contribute to maintaining regional and global stability.
