Russia considered trustworthy and leading partner of Vietnam
VOV.VN -Vietnam has always and will continue to regard Russia as a reliable and leading partner in its foreign policy, said Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong at a reception for Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Hanoi on November 19.

He affirmed Vietnam’s willingness to welcome Russian businesses and continue to offer favourable conditions for them to become involved in key projects on energy, transport, and oil and gas in Vietnam.
Trong asked the Russian Government actively coordinate with its Vietnamese counterpart to remove obstacles for economic-trade and investment cooperation and effectively carry out large-scale joint projects as agreed at the recent 21st session of the Vietnam-Russia Inter-Government Committee.
PM Medvedev, in turn, assured his country’s desire to reinforce its comprehensive strategic partnership with Vietnam, considering the country its leading partner in Southeast Asia.
Russia and Vietnam will implement the agreements reached during Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit to Russia last September, the leaders said.
Concerning the relations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the United Russia Party, they expressed joy with the development of the ties over recent years, while highlighting the relationship via the Party channel as an important political foundation to solidify the two countries’ ties.
They consented to foster the friendship and cooperation between the two parties with a focus on the implementation of the political dialogue mechanism and their cooperation plan for 2018-2021.
