President: Vietnam considers Myanmar an important partner
VOV.VN - Myanmar has been always an important partner in Vietnam’s foreign policy, said President Tran Dai Quang at a March 6 reception for Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Armed Forces Min Aung Hlaing in Hanoi.

President Quang urged the two military leaders to work out effective measures to implement defense cooperation agreements.
He affirmed that the Vietnamese State and Government consistently support and create the best conditions for growing cooperation between the two armies.
The State leader called on both sides to strengthen delegation exchanges and cooperation in training, military medicine, logistics, and defence industry.
He also asked Myanmar to support Vietnamese businesses, especially military-run companies for the sake of the two countries and the maintenance of peace and stability in the region.
He praised the role and active contributions of Myanmar in promoting multi-lateral collaboration in the region and around the world, especially within the framework of ASEAN.
Commander-in-Chief Hlaing said that both sides have agreed to strengthen cooperation in medicine, logistics, and the fight against smuggling and crime.
