President receives outgoing Moroccan Ambassador

VOV.VN - President Tran Dai Quang has congratulated outgoing Moroccan Ambassador El Houcine Fardani for his successful working term in Vietnam. 

At a reception for the Moroccan diplomat on September 14 in Hanoi, President Quang hailed his contribution to bilateral cooperation and his 10 years leading the diplomatic corps in Hanoi. 

He thanked the Moroccan King for an invitation for Vietnam’s participation at the COP22 UN meeting on climate change this November. 

The State leader Vietnam’s determination to ensure sustainable development and praised Morocco’s leading role in Africa in clean energy and climate change adaptation.

President Quang thanked Morocco for backing Vietnam’s candidacy for a non- permanent seat on the UN Security Council, and for seats on the UN Socio-economic Council and the UNESCO’s Executive Council. 

He suggested the African country support Vietnam’s candidacy for the post of UNESCO General Director for 2017-2021, a seat on the International Law Commission and re-election to the Executive Council of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in 2017-2020.

Ambassador El Houcine Fardani expressed his delight at Vietnam’s socio-economic development achievements, saying that Vietnam has become a model for developing countries.

He pledged more contributions to the Morocco-Vietnam relationship in the future.
