Politburo member hosts WB Vice President
VOV.VN - Politburo member and head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai on July 27 received World Bank (WB) Vice President for East Asia and the Pacific Victoria Kwakwa.
The Party official spoke highly of Kwakwa’s policy consultation, her call for global funding for socio-economic development and for the technical assistance in economic reform in Vietnam.
The commission’s top priorities will be paid to improving the operational efficiency of mass mobilization, the Party official said, while she believed that the WB will continue assisting Vietnam in socio-economic development and global integration in conformity with the Resolution adopted at the 12th National Party Congress.
Kwakwa for her part congratulated Vietnam on its renewal achievements, particularly in maintaining high economic growth, macro-economic stabilization and ensured social welfare and gender equality.
She also displayed her belief in the long-term prospects of Vietnam country on the back of the Party and State leaders’ strong determination and drastic reform in key areas.
The guest also affirmed the WB's readiness to help Vietnam access global funding for socio-economic development, policy consultation and technical assistance, making it possible to actualize all the targets set at the 12th National Party Congress.
