The PM highly appreciated the qualifications of lecturers of the FUV, saying that their recommendations have had positive impacts on Vietnam's development and with the prestige of the Harvard University, the FUV is able to seek funds to ensure its effective operation.
Prof. Vallely, who is also Chairman of the Trust for University Innovation in Vietnam, said he is impressed with Vietnam’s strong development over recent years.
He thanked the Vietnamese Government for its support for the establishment of the FUV, and showed a desire to turn the university into a reputable and quality education institution.
Vallely suggested naming the school of public policy and management (the VELP programme) under the FUV after late PM Vo Van Kiet - one of the prominent Vietnamese leaders, whose name is coupled with the renovation process, and the school's most important lecture hall after late US Senator John McCain, who was a contributor to the normalization of Vietnam-US relations.
In reply, PM Phuc voiced his support for the professor’s proposal.
