PM Phuc assures best possible support for Slovak businesses

VOV.VN -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has affirmed Vietnam's willingness to offer the best possible conditions for Slovak businesses to run investment in the country.

At a September 11 reception for outgoing Slovak Ambassador to Vietnam Igor Pacolak in Hanoi, PM Phuc hailed contributions of the diplomat to the two countries’ traditional friendship and asked him to continue his efforts in future positions.

He said he hopes bilateral trade will double in the near future as it remains modest.

The PM also informed his guest about Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue’s forthcoming visit to Slovakia from September 19 to 22, stating that the visit is designed to agree upon measures to advance cooperation across sectors, particularly trade and investment.

The government leader asked Slovakia to further support Vietnam – EU comprehensive cooperation and partnership and sign a free trade agreement with Vietnam soon.

Vietnam stays ready to help Slovakia bolster affiliations with ASEAN and the bloc’s members, Phuc added.

Ambassador Pacolak expressed his delight at the fruitful relations in recent years and the 30-fold increase of bilateral trade since Slovak reopened its embassy in Vietnam in 2008.

The diplomat used the occasion to thank the Vietnamese Government and Prime Minister for facilitating Slovak enterprises to do business and him to fulfill his mission in Vietnam.
