Party General Secretary leaves for Indonesia, Myanmar visit
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and a Vietnamese high-level delegation left Hanoi on August 22 for an official visit to Indonesia and a state visit to Myanmar.
The trip is made at the invitations of Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Myanmar President Htin Kyaw.
He is accompanied by Pham Binh Minh, Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister; Hoang Trung Hai, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee; Nguyen Van Nen, Chief of the Party Central Committee’s Office; Hoang Binh Quan, head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations; Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism; Tran Tuan Anh, Minister of Industry and Trade; Le Thanh Long, Minister of Justice and other senior officials.
