Party chief praises Vietnam-China relationship
(VOV) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has underlined the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China, despite current difficulties.
The Party leader welcomed the results of the third Anti-Crime Conference between their respective Ministries of Public Security and the cooperation agreements signed by each side.
Cooperation between the two ministries has greatly contributed to developing a broader bilateral strategic partnership, he said.
Trong asked the two ministries to render assistance to each other and work closely to combat crime and ensure national security.
He also took the opportunity to send his best wishes to Party General Secretary cum State President Hu Jintao and other Chinese leaders. He expressed his belief that the upcoming 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China will be a great success, opening a new development period for the country.
For his part, Minister Meng congratulated the achievements that the Vietnamese people have gained under the sound leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He wished Vietnam will be able to reap even greater rewards from its national construction and development programs.
Highlighting effective cooperation between the two ministries, Meng said he and his Vietnamese counterpart Tran Dai Quang agreed to further enhance ties and discussed ways to implement signed agreements which will contribute to deepening the relationship between the two countries.
Meng also reaffirmed China’s consistent policy of valuing the traditional friendship with Vietnam.
