Party chief hosts Cuban diplomat
VOV.VN -Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong hosted a reception in Hanoi on September 11 for outgoing Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Herminio Lopez Diaz who pledged his continuous contributions to the development of bilateral ties between Vietnam and Cuba.

The Cuban diplomat expressed satisfaction with progress made in Cuba-Vietnam ties, particularly in cooperation between the two parties, and partnerships in trade, investment, agriculture, defence, security, and people-to-people exchange.
He appreciated the great support he had received from the Party, Government and public agencies throughout his tenure in Vietnam over the past four years, and Vietnam’s sharing its theoretical and practical experience on economic reform with Cuba.
The Party leader hailed Ambassador Herminio Lopez Diaz’s excellent services during his tenure in Vietnam.
He asked Ambassador Herminio Lopez Diaz to convey his message of sympathies to President Raul Castro, the Party, State and people of Cuba over heavy losses caused by hurricane Irma.
The Vietnamese Party and people always stand side by side with the Cuban Party and people, Trong said while expressing his wish for bilateral collaboration to grow further and mutual close coordination at multilateral forums.
