NA Chairwoman meets Venezuelan President
VOV.VN - National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on November 30 met Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in Havana before leaving Cuba where she paid tribute to deceased former Cuban leader Fidel Castro.

At the meeting, the two leaders agreed to accelerate the implementation of bilateral agreements, especially those on energy and oil and gas and discussed ways to raise bilateral trade.
They concurred to continue to cooperate and offer mutual support at international organizations and multilateral forums.
Both sides expressed delight at the progress of joint agricultural projects in Venezuela in the 2015-2018 period, which were reached during President Maduro’s visit to Vietnam in August 2015.
They agreed that leaders of both countries should continue maintaining the existing bilateral cooperation mechanisms, including the Inter-Governmental Committee and the Deputy Foreign Ministerial Political Consultations.
President Maduro repeated the invitation to visit Venezuela to Vietnamese Party and State leaders while lauding the tradition of national protection of Vietnam as well as achievements during its renewal process.
President Maduro promised to visit Vietnam in an appropriate time.
On the same day, the top legislator also met Cuban hero and patriot Antonio Guerrero.
