NA Chairwoman hosts NZ, Philippine Ambassadors

VOV.VN - On August 23, National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan received New Zealand’s Ambassador Haike Manning and Philippine Ambassador Noel Servigon in Hanoi.

Meeting with the New Zealand diplomat, the top legislator said she believes that agreements reached by leaders of the two countries will create new momentum for their bilateral ties.

She suggested that New Zealand share its experiences in the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement, and open its market to Vietnamese agricultural produce.

The Chairwoman added that Vietnamese encourages New Zealand businesses to invest here, particularly in processing agricultural-fisheries products.

She also called on New Zealand to help Vietnam’s human resources development through scholarship programs.

Ms Ngan also expressed her hope that New Zealand will help Vietnam host the APEC meetings in 2017 and share its experiences in dealing with climate change.

The same day, NA Chairwoman Ngan received Philippine Ambassador Noel Servigon.

She praised the relationship between two countries, pledging to work closely with the Philippine parliament and to strengthen their strategic partnership while asking both sides continue to work hand in hand with each other more effectively to deepen bilateral ties.

The Philippine diplomat said  he hopes both sides will step up cooperation between localities and agencies involved in women affairs and drugs prevention as well as fostering ties between the two law-making bodies.
