NA chairman receives Japanese ambassador

(VOV) - The Vietnam National Assembly will do all it can and closely work with Japan Diet to promote exchanges between the two parliaments and two peoples.

NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung affirmed this at a reception for Japanese Ambassador Tanizaki Yasuaki and expressed his hope that the two countries will be well prepare for the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties to foster the ties of friendship and mutual understanding among young generations.

Hung thanked the Japanese Government for providing official development assistance (ODA) to help Vietnam achieve sustainable growth on the way to becoming an industrialized country by 2020.

He proposed that parliamentary friendship groups and two parliamentary committees promote dialogues and share experience in legislation.

Ambassador Tanizaki spoke highly of the NA’s recent efforts to renew its operation in a more effective and demonstrate way and promised more ODA to help Vietnam develop its socio-economic infrastructure.

Tanizaki expressed his hope that Vietnam will further improve the investment environment for Japanese businesses operating in the country.
