VOV.VN - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong had a busy schedule on March 27 during his ongoing visit to France.

Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong had a meeting with representatives from France’s leading businesses on the morning of March 27 (Paris time).  He witnessed the signing of a 250 million Euros cooperation agreement between T&T Group and Bouygues on upgrading Hang Day Stadium in Hanoi.

The Party chief congratulates Vietnam's budget carrier Vietjet Air and French group Safran – CFM on reaching a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation in providing engines and technical and maintenance services worth US$6.5 billion for 148 Vietjet airplanes.

The Party chief meets President of the French National Assembly François de Rugy.

After the meeting, Mr Trong and Mr Francois de Rugy witness the signing of a US$500 million agreement between Vietnam Airlines and Air France Industries KLM Engineering and Maintenance (AFM KLM E&M) on the maintenance of Boeing 787-9 engines.

The Party leader delivers a speech at the ceremony marking the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and France.

Mr Trong and the Vietnamese delegation attend an inauguration ceremony of the new headquarters of the Vietnam Cultural Centre in France and meet the Vietnamese embassy’s staff and representatives of the Vietnamese Community in France.

The Party chief briefs the Vietnamese residents in France on the results of the visit which aims to strengthen friendly and cooperation relations and deepen strategic partnership between the two countries.

 Party leader Trong meets with National Secretary of the French Communist Party (PCF) Pierre Laurent,

and holds talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.

The two leaders hold a press conference following their talks.

Mr Trong receives representatives from the France-Vietnam Friendship Association (AAFV).
