VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung led a Vietnamese delegation to attend the 22nd Asia Future Conference themed “Rising to global challenges and realizing Asia’s future” in Tokyo, Japan on May 30-31.

| In his speech, Deputy PM Dung emphasized that the maintenance of peace and stability through strengthening regional cooperation and building trust among nations are crucial to develop an Asia of peace, prosperity and
sustainable growth. |

He asserted Vietnam’s stance which considers Japan the leading partner in its integration process. |
 |

Mr Dung met with Motoo Hayashi, Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry on the sidelines of the conference on May 30. He proposed measures to boost economic ties between the two countries, especially in trade and investment, in order to doubling two-way trade by 2020. |

He met the President of Route Inn group, Katsutoshi Nagayama on the same day. |

On May 31, Deputy PM Dung received Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) Ishii Keiichi. |

Earlier, he met Japanese government officials and executives of business associations, seeking to reel in more capital into infrastructure, which is defined as one of the three strategic breakthroughs to drive Vietnam’s economy. |
