Hungary, Vietnam strengthen judicial ties
(VOV) - Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Administration and Justice Tibor Navracsics is paying an official visit to Vietnam from November 14-16.
During the meetings, Navracsics and Vietnamese Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong briefed each other on their respective countries’ socio-economic situation, with special regard to legal and judicial reforms.
They also shared their experience in the development of workable legislation and law enforcement and agreed on a roadmap for amendments to the Vietnam-Hungary Agreement on Judicial Assistance in Civil Matters, signed in 1985.
The two ministers also signed an agreement on legal and judicial mutual assistance, with commitments to assist each other on issues of mutual concern.
Under the agreement, their respective Justice Ministries will strengthen cooperation and exchange experience in reforming judicial operations and agencies.
On the same day, Navracsics was received by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung who highlighted the Vietnam-Hungary relationship for mutual benefit.
